Welcome to How To Keep n Touch – A Journey to Stronger Connections with family, friends, and co-workers.
Hi, I’m Sami
Staying in touch is the art of sharing your life events as we live our personal stories. As we find the things we have in common and where we are different. This allows us to gather collective wisdom from meaningful connections.
This started for me when I received word of the death of a friend from another state, and much earlier life. She had been sick for months. I didn’t know, We had lost touch. Making new friends, living life in the new location, moving forward. No my reasons were not very good, in fact they were flimsy excuses.
I had time for a weekly call, a monthly note, some way to touch base with this person I had laughed and shared so many good times with, as well as our tears, our fears, and sad events. I just didn’t know how to stay in touch with her, and didn’t bother to search for a way.
Learning from the Past: I have acknowledged the gaps in communication and can change this for a more connected future.
Exploring ‘Why’: This is more than just staying in touch; it’s an effort to improve relationships with family, friends, and beyond.
The Role of Technology: We not only adapt to new forms of communication but also recognize that gaining communication skills allows us to navigate the technology that comes our way in the future.
More Than Just Talks: Our commitment extends beyond mere conversations; we want to develop better communication skills for deepening bonds, regardless of distance.
The Grand Vision: Our goal is to foster improved communication skills where each of us can realize the strength that you build when you become a part of our personal community of support. To suggest and share resources for all of us who are seeking to strengthen our ties with family and friends.
The Heart and Soul of Our Mission: The dedication to building stronger families for our kids while cultivating robust friend networks. We all need something to lean on at times, and a tie built with time can provide that for each of us. Something stronger than a like on Facebook.
Building Stronger Families and Friend Networks: Nurturing family bonds, creating a foundation for our children’s future, and cultivating friend networks that stand the test of time. These connections become pillars of strength, offering support when life presents its challenges.
